The 3 golden rules
- Refrigerate right away. Put your meals in the fridge as soon as they arrive. Never leave cooked food at room temperature overnight, and never for more than 2 hours.
- Eat within 2 days of delivery when kept in the refrigerator.
- Freezing for later? If you will not eat a meal within 2 days, put it in the freezer the day it arrives.
Where your food is cooked
Your meals are cooked at Electric Avenue Kitchen, a LICENSED commercial kitchen approved by the health department, at 1500 Electric Ave in North Braddock. We cook there under our Allegheny County Health Department Shared Kitchen User permit FSP-SKU-26-068, issued to Nannu's Kitchen LLC (facility: Nannu's Kitchen @ Electric Ave Kitchen). It has commercial fridges and freezers, separate hand-washing sinks, stainless steel prep tables and a full vent hood with a fire safety system over the stoves. We cook, pack and label your meals there, then bring them straight to you.

Storing your meals
- Keep your refrigerator at 40°F (4°C) or colder.
- Store dishes in their original sealed containers, or move leftovers to clean, airtight containers.
- Frozen meals keep their best taste for about 2 to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight, not on the kitchen counter.
- Once thawed, eat within 1 to 2 days and do not freeze again.
Hot or chilled delivery
- Depending on the item, meals may arrive hot or chilled.
- Hot meals: eat promptly, or refrigerate within 2 hours (1 hour if it is above 90°F).
- Chilled meals: keep refrigerated and reheat to 165°F (74°C) before eating.
Reheating
- Heat until piping hot and steaming all the way through (165°F / 74°C). Stir halfway so there are no cold spots.
- Reheat only the portion you will eat. Reheat leftovers only once.
- Rotis and parathas taste best warmed on a hot pan or wrapped in a damp paper towel in the microwave.
If you are not sure
If food has been left out too long, smells or looks off, or you simply are not sure, please throw it away. When in doubt, throw it out.
Allergy notice
Any of our dishes may contain, or come into contact with, any of the 9 major food allergens:
Our recipes use these allergens, and we cook in a shared commercial kitchen used by other food businesses, so any dish may contain or come into contact with any of them. We cannot guarantee that any dish is free of an allergen. Allergen details are printed on every container label. If you or anyone you feed has a food allergy, please call 412-660-9474 before you order. Full allergy notice
- Dishes may contain or come into contact with these allergens even when they are not in a dish's main recipe. We cannot guarantee that any dish, side or drink is free of any allergen, including gluten, dairy and nuts.
- Many dishes contain milk, butter, cream, ghee or paneer; rotis and parathas contain wheat; some recipes use eggs or fish.
- See the typical ingredients and allergens for every dish on our Dish ingredients & allergens page. Allergens are also printed on every container label, and the QR code on the label opens that dish on the page. Recipes can change a little from day to day, so please check the label on your food.
- Our website does not collect allergy information and we do not take allergy requests online, because we cannot promise any dish is allergen-free.
- If you have a serious allergy (for example, one that could cause a severe reaction), please call or text 412-660-9474 before you order so we can talk it through, and decide whether our food is right for you.
- Our chat helper, Choco, is a computer helper (not a person) and can make mistakes. Please do not rely on Choco for allergy information.
